MIT訪學(xué)項(xiàng)目介紹

MIT訪學(xué)項(xiàng)目是提供給嶺南IMBA學(xué)生的一學(xué)期海外學(xué)習(xí)項(xiàng)目，嶺南（大學(xué)）學(xué)院承擔(dān)課程費(fèi)用，入選學(xué)生承擔(dān)出行、住宿等方面的個(gè)人費(fèi)用。一般來說，每學(xué)期會(huì)選拔1-2名學(xué)生前往MIT斯隆管理學(xué)院進(jìn)行訪學(xué)。參加MIT訪學(xué)項(xiàng)目的學(xué)生可修讀MIT斯隆管理學(xué)院的課程，與其他MIT學(xué)生一起工作和學(xué)習(xí)，參加學(xué)生俱樂部、會(huì)議、研討會(huì)等，選修MIT斯隆、MIT和哈佛大學(xué)的選修課程（某些項(xiàng)目課程除外）。除了豐富的學(xué)術(shù)研討機(jī)會(huì)，還有機(jī)會(huì)在校園內(nèi)和周邊劍橋、波士頓地區(qū)參加各類為社會(huì)、文化、休閑活動(dòng)。MIT秋季學(xué)期訪學(xué)項(xiàng)目通常于當(dāng)年一月/二月開始申請(qǐng)，春季學(xué)期訪學(xué)于七月/八月開始申請(qǐng)。更多信息請(qǐng)?jiān)L問相關(guān)網(wǎng)站http://mitsloan.mit.edu/visiting-fellows/。2020秋MIT訪學(xué)項(xiàng)目即將開始申請(qǐng)，請(qǐng)?jiān)谏暾?qǐng)前仔細(xì)閱讀以下內(nèi)容。

申請(qǐng)人要求

1. 2020秋MIT訪學(xué)項(xiàng)目僅限2020秋學(xué)期仍在冊(cè)的嶺南IMBA學(xué)生申請(qǐng)（即僅限于FI班和PA班學(xué)生申請(qǐng)），并主要考慮在正常學(xué)習(xí)年限內(nèi)的學(xué)生。如申請(qǐng)人的畢業(yè)時(shí)間在訪學(xué)開始之前，應(yīng)申請(qǐng)延遲論文答辯；2. 為了更好地適應(yīng)MIT的學(xué)習(xí)，F(xiàn)I班學(xué)生不能在第一個(gè)學(xué)期進(jìn)行申請(qǐng)，并需在申請(qǐng)前完成第一個(gè)學(xué)期的所有核心課程；PA班學(xué)生不能在前兩個(gè)學(xué)期進(jìn)行申請(qǐng)，并需在申請(qǐng)前完成前兩個(gè)學(xué)期的所有核心課程；3. 申請(qǐng)人需獲得托福95 iBT及以上或雅思7.5及以上的語言成績證明；4. 申請(qǐng)人需通過所有核心和選修課程，并且在嶺南MBA學(xué)生榮譽(yù)與誠信記錄系統(tǒng)中沒有任何不良誠信記錄（核心課分?jǐn)?shù)低于70分或選修課分?jǐn)?shù)低于60分即為課程不通過）。

申請(qǐng)流程

1. 在線申請(qǐng)申請(qǐng)系統(tǒng)：https://lnmbasys.sysu.edu.cn（MBA信息管理系統(tǒng)）開放時(shí)間：2019年12月26日12:00 – 2020年1月7日12:00Step 1: 申請(qǐng)前在申請(qǐng)前，請(qǐng)?jiān)凇癕BA信息管理系統(tǒng) – 個(gè)人資料 – 我的簡歷 – 基本信息&外語能力”模塊提交最新的護(hù)照信息和托福/雅思成績。沒有提交護(hù)照信息將不能申請(qǐng)海外學(xué)習(xí)項(xiàng)目。有效的托?；蜓潘汲煽冏C明需在申請(qǐng)截止前提交。Step 2: 在線申請(qǐng)請(qǐng)?jiān)凇癕BA信息管理系統(tǒng) - 項(xiàng)目申請(qǐng) - 我的申請(qǐng)”模塊進(jìn)行在線申請(qǐng)，將以下文件整理成一個(gè)pdf文件后上傳，點(diǎn)擊“申請(qǐng)”：

1）托福或雅思成績證明；

2）英文簡歷；

3）個(gè)人陳述（寫明班級(jí)、姓名）；

請(qǐng)注意：點(diǎn)擊“申請(qǐng)”按鈕后才會(huì)確認(rèn)你的申請(qǐng)；在截止時(shí)間前可以上傳或更新申請(qǐng)文件；

2. 面試

通過資格審查的申請(qǐng)人需參加面試，面試時(shí)間、地點(diǎn)以后續(xù)通知為準(zhǔn)。

3. 在MIT斯隆管理學(xué)院網(wǎng)站上進(jìn)行申請(qǐng)

通過面試的學(xué)生將會(huì)收到郵件通知進(jìn)行后續(xù)手續(xù)辦理，包括提交訪學(xué)承諾書、準(zhǔn)備MIT斯隆管理學(xué)院系統(tǒng)要求的在線申請(qǐng)資料等。入選學(xué)生還需提供一位推薦人的聯(lián)系方式，MIT在線申請(qǐng)系統(tǒng)將發(fā)送鏈接給推薦人提供推薦信。

入選學(xué)生須知

1. 一旦入選，則視為承諾參加訪學(xué)項(xiàng)目。入選學(xué)生應(yīng)遵守游學(xué)承諾書的要求，除了某些不可預(yù)見的情況外（主要是不可抗力），不能退出訪學(xué)項(xiàng)目，否則將失去2020秋學(xué)期的選課資格，并記錄在嶺南MBA學(xué)生誠信記錄管理系統(tǒng)中，相關(guān)記錄可能影響你申請(qǐng)其他項(xiàng)目或獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金；

Program Introduction

Lingnan Visiting Fellows Program at MIT Sloan School of Management is a one-semester overseas study program especially for Lingnan International MBA Program Students, with course fees covered byLingnan (University) College and personal expenses like traveling, accommodation, etc. undertaken by selected students. Usually two students will be selected as visiting fellows to study in MIT Sloan School of Management for every semester.

As fully-registered students, Visiting Fellows take courses with world-renowned MIT Sloan faculty, work and study withother MIT students, and participate in student clubs, conferences, and specialseminars. In consultation with a faculty adviser, each Visiting Fellow designs a course of study to meet her/his individual professional and academic interests. Visiting Fellows may take elective courses at MIT Sloan, throughout MIT, and are eligible to take courses at Harvard University,except courses restricted to other programs.In addition to the wide array of academic opportunities, Visiting Fellows also have access to a wealth ofcultural, social, and recreational activities, both on campus and in the surrounding Cambridge and Boston area.

Application Eligibility

1. MIT Visiting Fellows Programonly opens toLingnanIMBA studentswho are still registered during the Visiting Semester, mainly for those who are in normalstudy years. Postponement of thesis defense will be a requisite if the applicant is due to graduate before the Visiting.2.For better adapting to study at MIT,full-time IMBA studentsare not eligible to apply in their first semester, andshall complete all the core courses set for the first semesterbefore application;Part-time IMBA studentsare not eligible to apply in their first 2 semesters, andshall complete all the core courses set for the first 2 semestersbefore application.3.Applicant shall have valid score report ofTOEFL IBT 95 or above OR IELTS 7.5or above.4.Applicationwon’t be consideredif the applicantfailed in any core or optional courses, OR has any undesirable recordin “Lingnan MBA StudentHonour and Integrity Code Assessment System”. (“Fail” means the final testscore less than 70 for core courses and less than 60 for optional courses.)

Applicants who pass the qualification screening will be invited for further interview.The interview will most probably be held within one week after the deadline.

After the interview, the selected students will receive an email regarding further issue, including signing the commitment letter, preparing documents like CV, Personal Statement, Transcript, Valid IELTS or TOEFL for online application in MIT Sloan website according to further notice.The selected students shall also provide a referrer’s contact information; the online application system will send a link to the referrer to submit a recommendation letter.

Requirementsfor Selected Students1. For the Lingnan IMBA Visiting Fellowsat MIT Sloan, once selected, it is expected that you will honor your commitments to this opportunity. Except for some unforeseen circumstances (mainly force majeure), you cannot withdraw from it.The selected students should be abided by the commitment (Statement of Undertaking for MIT Visiting Fellows Program/中山大學(xué)嶺南學(xué)院MIT訪學(xué)項(xiàng)目MBA學(xué)生承諾書). Otherwise, you may lose the right to apply for optional course in the coming semester and leave adverse record in “Lingnan MBA Student Honour and Integrity Code Assessment System”.2. The selected MIT Sloan Visiting Fellows must promise not to break any law or policy in the host country and P.R. China.3. The selected MIT Sloan Visiting Fellowsshall bear personal costs, such as cost of international travel, internal connections, passport visa costs, accommodation, meals, local travel, medical/health expenses/insurance, clothing and personal expenses, etc.4.
